Set goals. Take action. Track results

Hi there! I’m looking forward to showing you how to use this marketing planning workbook during the webinar tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct 23, at 10 AM AZ time. I encourage you to invest the 1 to 1.5 hours in your time to attend. I know you’re busy running your business.

Is it possible you keep doing the same types of promotions and are frustrated you’re not getting different results?

Are you meeting your marketing goals? Or are you just too busy DOING and wondering why you aren’t getting the results you’d hoped for?

Then this is the webinar for you!

By attending, you will receive a copy of the downloadable PDF of this workbook. I recommend you make a copy and keep the original as a template you can use as often as needed.

Make a copy, and at the top, call it plan for a specific project, program or audience you are trying to reach. Then answer the workbook questions based on ONLY that program or audience.

Focus your thinking

The workbook will help you focus your thinking to:

  1. identify your purpose for THIS ONE PROJECT, PROGRAM OR AUDIENCE;
  2. set specific goals you want to accomplish on social media, sales, etc.;
  3. create a clear picture of who the audience is for this ONE PROJECT or PROGRAM;
  4. begin to think about WHY this audience would choose to do business with you and not your competitor;
  5. help you think through the current elements you have in place, can control, and know how to implement;
  6. help you consider the elements, people, knowledge and other things you may not have now that you will need to put in place in order to achieve your goals for this one project or program;
  7. then create a list of specific actions you need to take now, in the next 3 months, and the next 6 months to achieve these goals, who needs to do them, and how much any actions might potentially cost. Many actions may not cost anything, but some, like implementing paid ads, could.
  8. The bonus page on the end lists questions to ask yourself and your team about any new idea or project that comes up that could derail you from this plan.

Create an actionable marketing plan

When you’re done, you’ll have an actionable marketing plan for that ONE PROGRAM OR PROJECT.  Set aside time every day and week to actually work that plan. Implement the actions and elements you’ve identified. As you accomplish a task, mark it as done and move on to the next. Keep the plan with you and check your goals to see how it’s working.

Are your sales increasing for that ONE project or program? Are you getting more traffic to your website or store, or more inquiries about that ONE project or program? What’s your team telling you? How are your website analytics changing?

If you aren’t getting the results you hoped for? What might need changing? The audience? The product? The promotional posts? The message? Tweak it and keep working the plan. Don’t give up after one or two weeks. It takes time. Work it for at least 3 months…..through the end of this year if your goal is to impact 2024 sales.

Don’t give up!

Don’t give up. Just keep tracking your results, making minor tweaks as needed, to see what works before you move onto the next marketing idea or project.

IT TAKES AT MINIMUM 15 – 20 TOUCHES BEFORE SOMEONE TAKES ACTION NOW.        We are all so busy and bombarded with emails and marketing messages that we frequently don’t respond even to the first 5-10 messages.

But then we get another few more with the right keywords and message or picture or video, and we’re in the mindset to take action, and we do. We make a purchase or a donation or we subscribe……whatever the goal of that message is.

YOU NEED TO SHOW UP AT THE RIGHT TIME WHEN THE RIGHT AUDIENCE IS READY TO BUY.

This workbook will help you stay the course and keep working the plan. I urge you to invest in yourself and your business to learn how to use this tool to get the results you want.

I hope to see you online tomorrow!
